Norfolk - Mrs. Bettie M. Simmons, of 845 Rugby St., the wife of Henry Simmons and 
a North Carolina native, died Nov. 11 in a hospital.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include two foster daughters, Mrs. Carrie Johnson and Mrs. Viola Alston, 
and a foster son, Brother Lawrence Copeland, all of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by Elder 
Lewis Preston. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
