Sarah T. Simmons , 77, of the 2800 block of Marlboro Ave., died Saturday, Jan. 
16, 1999. 

She was a native of Norfolk, the daughter of the late Miles W. and Anna E. 
Staves Tucker. She retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station as an electronic 
technician after more than 30 years as a civil servant. 

She is survived by her son, Arthur R. Simmons , and a daughter, Anna K. Simmons 
, both of Chesapeake; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces 
and nephews. 

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in 
Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hale Funeral 
Home, Norfolk.
