Final rites were held Thursday at Jones Funeral Home for Willie Lee Simmons, who 
died at a Norfolk hospital on April 8 by th Rev. H. T. Myers of Mt. Olive 
Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Simmons was a native of Kinston, NC.  He was the son of Mrs. Ruth P. Simmons 
and the late Willie L. Simmons Sr.  In addition to his mother, his survivors 
include three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Baker, Mrs. Elsie Robinson and Mrs. Ruth 
Santos;  and four brothers, Benjamin, Raymond, Charlie and James Simmons.

Mr. Simmons was a Norfolk resident 47 years.  He was employed by High’s Ice 
Cream Company for seven years.
