She was born in Berkley at the old Ottley Place and attended the Owens School in the old Marine Hospital in Berkley. She also attended Leech Wood Seminary in Norfolk. She lived on Buckingham Avenue for 65 years. Survivors include two sons, Howard Johnson Simpson of Norfolk and John Page Simpson Jr. of Mathews County; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A funeral will be held 2 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery by the Rev. James Thompson. The family asks that flowers be omitted. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
