Simpson, relict of the late Samuel Simpson, was conducted from St. Thomas' Episcopal Church yesterday afternoon and the interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The deceased was a native of New Brunswick, Canada, and came here about twenty- five years ago. She was a consistent member of St. Thomas Church and widely known for her charitable and benevolent acts. She is survived by eight sons and daughters, as follows: Mrs. Charles L. Nelson, Mrs. Anna J. Stimpson, Mrs. H.W. Cobb, of Berkley; Mrs. W.H. Gillespie, of Calais, Me.; Messrs. George W., Henry L. Samuel W. and J.J. Simpson, all residents of this section. Mrs. Simpson was in the 72d year of her age. The services were conducted by Rev. E.W. Cowland, the rector, and very largely attended. The pallbearers were: Messrs. W.G. Lamour, J.J. Ottley, W.W. Robertson, George Coxon, C.J. Colonna, J.S. Whiteworth, A.O. Calcott and Arthur Townsend.
