Norfolk - Thomas Robert Simpson, 85, of 1442 W. 42nd St., died Sunday in a
Norfolk hospital after a short illness.

He was the son of Nelson and Mrs. Venia Simpson, and a native of Clinton, NC.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mary Mayo of New York City; Mrs. Ruth
Branch, Mrs. Thelma McNeal and Mrs. Geraldine Lawrence, all of Norfolk; one son,
Thomas Lee Simpson of New York City; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Lee Simpson of New
York City; eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Morning Glory Funeral Home Sunday at
1:30 p.m. by the Rev. F. F. Wise, pastor of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery.
