Berkley - Funeral services for Fred Simpson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Simpson 
of 1112 Walker avenue, were held Sunday at the First Baptist Church with the 
Rev. J. C. Diamond officiating, assisted by Revs. Nance and Alston.

Mr. Simpson died as a result of an accident Friday evening when he was hit by a 
truck and trailer at the corner of Joyce street and Wilson road. He died at 
once. He was 17 years of age and was a popular figure in the Campostella section 
where he was born and lived until just a short time ago.

He is survived by four brothers and one sister besides his parents. Burial took 
place in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
