Norfolk - Mrs. Florine B. Sims of 806 Wilson Road died May 27 in a hospital.

A native of Roxboro, NC, she was a daughter of Mrs. Mary Barnett.

She worked for Elsie’s Beauty Salon 15 years.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and its Senior and Gospel choirs, 
Wheaton Eastern Star Chapter 753, Norfolk Temple 1A of Elks, and Naomi Tent 31.

Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Erma Sims of Norfolk, and three 
sisters, Mrs. Maude Brown of Pittsburgh, PA, Mrs. Maggie Lee of New Rochelle, 
NY; and Mrs. Ruth Richardson of Leasburg, NC.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Antioch Baptist Church by 
Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Metropolitan 
Funeral Home in charge. The family is at her house.
