Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, April 8, 1999
Luther B. Singleton, 76, of the 2900 block of Delaware Crossing, died April 3,
1999, at his home.

Born in Mullen, S.C., he was a retired truck driver from Haygood Construction.
He was predeceased by his parents, Georgianna Singleton and Fred Singleton.

Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Payling, Eares S. Twine and Tara R.
Tatum; three sons, Marvin and Tony Church, Luther J. Hamlett; and a host of
stepchildren and grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in First Baptist Church, Lambert's
Point, by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
family will assemble at 1214 W. 26th St. Graves Funeral Home, Norfolk, is
handling arrangements.
