Virginian Pilot, October 4, 1906
Mrs. Joshuanna Skinner, widow of the late Captain James H. Skinner, of 
Norfolk, died yesterday morning . . . in the residence of her son-in-law, 
William S. Morris, at No. 110 Maple Avenue, Port Norfolk.

She was 72 years old.

She is survived by several children: Frank G. Skinner, of Port Norfolk; James 
L. Skinner, of Norfolk; Miss Sallie Skinner, of Norfolk; Mrs. William S. 
Morris, Jr., of Port Norfolk.

She was a member of the Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church, Norfolk.

Her little granddaughter, the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. William S. 
Morris, Jr., died last Monday and was buried on Tuesday afternoon.

The funeral of Mrs. Skinner will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
grave, in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
