A native of Edenton, N.C., he was a son of the late Americus and Mrs. Lucy Anne Skinner and lived in Norfolk 69 years. He retired as a longshoreman in 1951 after more than 30 years of service. He was a deacon of Disciples of Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Ratha Skinner of Petersburg, and two brothers, John Skinner and George Skinner, both of Norfolk. The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home.
