Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday August 20, 1947
Mrs. Margaret E. Skipper, 71, widow of William B. Skipper, died at her 
residence, 1246 Bayview Boulevard, Monday night after a long illness. She 
was a daughter of William H. and Sofie Jones Swindell, and was a resident of 
Norfolk for 30 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Julia V. Barnes, of Norfolk and Mrs. 
A.B. Kutz of Washington; a son, James G. Skipper of Norfolk and nine 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where 
services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
