Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug. 23, 1975
Norfolk - Mrs. Lucy Elizabeth Slater of 217 Filbert St., the widow of John
Slater and a native of Norfolk, died Thursday, July 31, in a hospital.

She was a retired hotel employee.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bollingbrook, and its Missionary
Circle, Sunday School, and Pastor’s Aid.

Survivors include a son, Walter E. Jackson of Norfolk;  a brother, Dennis
Washington of Lynn, MA., a granddaughter, and four great grandchildren.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service.
