Wm. A. Slaymaker, a former pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, Berkley ward, passed away at her home, 313 Colonial avenue, Ghent, at 6 o'clock Monday evening after a brief illness in the 62d year of her age. Before her marriage, Mrs. Slaymaker was a resident of Alexandria. She was a woman of many lovable and endearing traits of character, who drew around her a host of friends in this community who will learn with sorrow of her death. She leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. Wicks, of Berkley ward and Miss Elizabeth Slaymaker. The funeral will be held from her late residence at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon and the remains will be laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley. ************************************************************ The funeral of Mrs. H.C. SLAYMAKER, widow of the late Rev. W.A. Slaymaker will take place from her late residence, 313 Colonial avenue, THIS (Thursday) AFTERNOON at 2:30 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment (private) in Magnolia Cemetery. Virginian Pilot January 9, 1908 ***************************** The obsequies of the late Mrs. H.C. Slaymaker, relict of Rev. W.A. Slaymaker, were solemnized from the residence, 313 Colonial avenue, Ghent, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was numerously attended by the friends of the deceased. The service was conducted by Rev. Dr. J.E. Thacker of the Second Presbyterian Church and Rev. C.S. Lingamfelter of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, Berkley ward.
