Virginian Pilot Thurssday May 31, 1894
Mrs. Lavinia J. Small, wife of Mr. B.T. Small, died after a few hour's illness at 
her home in this city yesterday at 12:30 a.m., aged 37 years.  She leaves a 
husband and four small children.  She was a most estimable lady, a member of the 
Cumberland Street Methodist Church.  The funeral will take place from the church 
this afternoon at 3 o'clock.  The interment will be in Elmwood.
