Funeral services at the above residence TUESDAY MORNING at 10 o'clock. ************************************************* Samuel Dey Smiley died at his home 307 Colonial avenue, Ghent, at 4:30 a.m. yesterday in the sixty-second year of his age. He was a native of Norfolk and had resided here all his life. He was a marine engineer by vocation. He is survived by a sister, Miss M.E. Smiley of Norfolk, two brothers, Walter F. Smiley of Norfolk, and C.D. Smiley of St. Louis, Mo. The funeral will be held from his late residence at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning and will be conducted by Rev. Stuart Nye Hutchison of the First Presbyterian church and Rev. James M. Owens of St. Paul's Episcopal church. The interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
