Emma Louise Kegler Smith, 100, of the 5300 block of Marian Lane, died Nov. 3, 
1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Smith, a native of Connecticut, was the widow of Richard P. Smith. She was a 
member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk for over 70 years. Mrs. 
Smith had taught school in the Connecticut school system before coming to Norfolk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Julian B. Goodman. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. A Christian wake service will be held at 4 
p.m. Sunday in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts.
