Mr. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, and was employed by the City of Norfolk at the City Hall Avenue pumping station. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles Baker; six grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas P., W.J. and Russell C. Smith; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca J. Cook, and a number of nieces and nephews, all of Norfolk. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services WEDNESDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
