Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 9 1943

Edward Patrick Smith, aged 72 years, son of the late Peter and Mrs. Bridget 
Maloney Smith, a native of Philadelphia, Pa. and a resident of Norfolk for 60 
years, died yesterday morning at a local hospital. Mr. Smith was a member of the 
Stage Carpenter's Union of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and of the Holy Name 
Society of that church.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Fritzinger; one brother, Peter P. Smith, 
and several nieces and nephews, all of Norfolk. 
Remains will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services Saturday 
morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services 
will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Friday night at 8:30 
o'clock.

Edward Patrick Smith - Remains of Mr. Smith, who died Thursday morning at a 
local hospital, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for services this 
morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
