Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 24, 1942

Miss Julia Ellis Smith, daughter of the late Eller Dudley and Mrs. Anna Pauline 
Ward Smith, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday afternoon 
at 1:30 o'clock at the residence, 1501 Norview Avenue, Willoughby Beach. Miss 
Smith, well known nurse, was a graduate of Mr. Sinai Hospital, New York City.
Surviving her are one sister, Mrs. Alfred L. Belfield, of Norfolk and one 
brother, Louis Van R. Smith, of Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, 
Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Rosary services will be held at the residence tonight at 8 o'clock.
