Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 1, 1994

Julius Columbus "Skippy" Smith, 46, of the 800 block of Forbes St., died 
October 27, 1994.
He was a native of New Haven, Conn., and was a longshoreman with the 
International Longshoreman's Association, Local 1248.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Riddick Funeral Service. 
Viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will 
receive friends at 1416 Bayberry Ct., Chesapeake, the home of Hugh J. Haynes 
Sr.
