Funeral services for William Alston Smith, 67, of 1410 Wilson Road, who died 
in a local hospital August 11, were held Tuesday, August 13, at the Riddick 
Funeral Chapel. Rev. S. D. Nancy conducted the final rites.

Mr. Smith was a member of the Sons of Norfolk, Odd Fellows and the First 
Baptist Church, Bute Street. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. H. M. Terry; 
one brother, Leroy Smith, Philadelphia; nine nephews and three nieces.
