Virginian-Pilot, November 18, 1953
Oscar Smith, 74, a native of Romania and a resident of Philadelphia for the 
past 20 years, died yesterday at 4 a.m. at Pennsylvania Hospital Philadelphia.
Surviving him are one son, Dave M. Smith, of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. 
Albert Posner of Newport News; one brother, Samuel Schmelovitz, of Brooklyn, 
NY, and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Schindler, of Freeport, Long Island, NY.
Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts tomorrow at 2 p.m. 
by the Rev. Paul Reich, D.D., Rabbi of Beth El Temple. Burial will be in B'Nai 
Israel Cemetery,
