The funeral of Charles Smith, 27, of Avenue E, Oakwood, who died in a local 
hospital on December 6, was held at Disciples Chapel, Oakwood, on December 9, 
with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. A lifelong citizen of Norfolk, he is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Alberta Smith; a mother, one daughter, six 
brothers, two sisters, and other relatives. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
