Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct 10,1942
Funeral services for Herbert Smith of 1327 Marshall avenue, who died September 
29, at a local hospital, were held October 4 at Metropolitan AME Zion Church.  
The Rev. E. B. Watson officiated.  Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery.  
Morning Glory Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
