Arabella K. Smith
 Norfolk - On Wednesday December 7, 2013, our Lord called Arabella K. Smith 
home to eternal rest. She was predeceased by her husband Roland S. Smith, 
Sr. Arabella retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of 
dedicated service. As a faithful member of Oakwood Chapel Church, she served 
on the Senior Usher Board. She enjoyed traveling with her family across the 
United States, throughout the Caribbean, and Europe. Arabella is survived by 
her children Beverly J. Smith and Roland S. Smith, Jr., both of Norfolk, VA; 
one sister, Barbara Wilson Jones (Isaiah), Chester, PA; brothers, Larry 
Kearney (Shirley), Riverdale, MD; James Kearney(Betty) and Bernard Kearney, 
both of Chester, PA; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and other 
relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, 
December 7, at Oakwood Chapel Church, 982 Ave E, Norfolk. Dr. Earl J. Eaddy 
will officiate. Professional Services entrusted to Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, Granby St. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Wounded 
Warrior Project, MADD, or Lung Cancer Foundation of America
