Mrs. Ethel P. Smith of 634 E. Princess Anne road, who died in a local hospital 
on June 17, was scheduled to be given final rites at Bethel Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Jesse Arrington officiating.

The deceased, who was 59, was a native of Princess Anne County.  She was a member 
of Bethel and worked for the Ballard Fish and Oyster Company for 15 years.

She was scheduled to be buried in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Hale 
Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith’s survivors include her husband, John H. smith;  seven sisters, Mrs. 
Lizzie Sanderson, Mrs. Ianter Wiliams, Mrs. Winnie Joyner, and Mrs. Inell Forman 
of Princess Anne County;  Mrs. Minnie Elliott of Painter;  Mrs. Penny Bell and 
Mrs. Susie Lodger of Norfolk;  and two brothers, Link Bell of Norfolk and Archie 
Bell of West Norfolk.
