Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, September 21, 1993 
Florrie Robinson Smith, 93, of the 1200 block of Courtney Ave., a retired
teacher, died Sept. 17, 1993, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Smith, born in Norfolk, retired after teaching 44 years in the Norfolk city
public schools. She was the widow of Robert H. Smith Jr. and was a member of
Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include Walter Sweat of Norfolk and Edith DeShields of Philadelphia.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk,
by Father Joseph Green. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Visitation will be
at Hale Funeral Home, 2100 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, from noon to 9 p.m.
Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church Thursday at 10 a.m. The family
will assemble at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for the processional.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Grace
Episcopal Church.
