NORFOLK - James E. Smith of 1617 Claiborne avenue, who died April 25 in a
Norfolk hospital, received final rites Sunday at Hale Funeral Home.
  The Rev. R. T. Adams officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
  A member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist church, Mr. Smith was a native of Norfolk County.
  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alicia Boston and Mrs. Gladys Fields of
Norfolk;  and two sons, Cristus A. Smith of Baltimore and William H. Smith of
Norfolk.
