Smith, widow of W.H.C. Smith, died yesterday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at her residence, 808 Reservoir Avenue, after a short illness. She was 54 years old. The funeral will take place next Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence and will be conducted by Rev. J. Truman Anderson, pastor of the Park Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Daughters of America. She leaves two sons, W.R. and W.H.C. Smith of Norfolk, four daughters, Mrs. J.H. Woodington, Mrs. M.M. Shenette, Mrs. L.E. Caufelt and Miss Louise Smith, all of Norfolk; three brothers, Joseph Garrett of Norfolk, Samuel Garrett of Princess Anne County and James Garrett of Elizabeth City, N.C. and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Powers and Mrs. Cotile Powers of Fentress, Va.
