Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 23, 1926 

Mrs. Emma Whitehurst Smith, aged 80, died at her residence, 623 West Twenty-eighth 
Street, yesterday morning at 8:25 o'clock. She is survived by three daughters, 
Mrs. John T. Harvey, Mrs. E.S. Godfrey and Mrs. A.B. Dew; two sons, Wallace A. 
Smith and Albert C. Smith, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. J.T. Woodhouse and 
Miss Mittie Whitehurst, of Princess Anne County, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. 

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
