Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 3, 1997 
Lula Bell Smith of the 2800 block of Kimball Terrace died Dec. 1, 1997, in
Lafayette Villa Nursing Home.

Born in North Carolina, she was the widow of Willie Smith and a member of United
House of Prayer for All People. She retired as a laborer for Norfolk Naval Base
after more than 25 years.

Survivors include three sisters, Lucretia Martin and Addie McClaud, both of
Norfolk, and Irene McClaud of North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in United House of Prayer for All People,
Norfolk. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
