Norfolk Virginian Tuesday  February 12, 1895

The funeral of Mr. William Smith took place Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the 
Chestnut Street M.E. Church and was conducted by Rev. Dr. George H. Ray.  
Interment was made in Magnolia Cemetery.  Chesapeake Tribe, No. 50, I.O. Red Men, 
of which the deceased was a member, turned out to pay their last tribute of 
respect to their deceased brother.
