Norfolk Journal and Guide, Apr 27,1974
Chesapeake - Phranus Smith of 2304 Portall Road, an employee of Norfolk
Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp., died April 15 in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Theodore and Mrs. Eva S. Moore.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

A funeral service was held April 20 in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, by
the Rev. M. L. Williams.  Burial, with full military honors, was in Calvary
Cemetery.  The body was taken from Hale Funeral Home to the church.
