In the absence of the pastor, Rev. C. J. Williams officiated. Condolences were read by Miss Burns. A solo was rendered by Mrs. Josephine Wimberly, “Stand By Me.” Mrs. Smith was a native of Gloucester, Virginia, but had been a resident of Norfolk for several years. The deceased leaves to mourn their loss, a daughter, a son-in-law, one sister, a number of relatives and a host of friends. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Undertaker Hale.
