Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 7, 1924

John Henry Smith, aged 71, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at 
the residence of his son, Walter E. Smith, 229 Kimball Terrace. Besides the son, 
he is survived by a brother, Edward Smith, of Waterlily, N.C. Funeral services 
will be conducted at the residence tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
