Michael D. ``Boss Hogg'' Smith, 34, of the 900 block of Widgeon Road died
Friday, June 27, 1997 at DePaul Medical Center as a result of renal failure.

He was a native of Norfolk and the son of Henry E. Jr. and Ruth Holmes Smith. He
was a self-employed subcontractor and cement finisher. He was a member of First
Baptist Church Bolling Brook.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a son, Zachary Donnell Hawkins;
sisters, Novella V. Parker, Osia M. Evans, Charlene S. Livington and Ruth O.
Smith; and a brother, Rudolph L. Smith.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church Bolling
Brook by the Rev. Clinton Brown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing
will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Riddick Funeral Service. The family will
be at the residence
