Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 3, 1931

William Virginus Smith, 7-month old son of Charles M. and Frances Blake Smith, 
died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:35 o'clock. Besides his parents, 
he is survived by one sister, Ernestine Smith; four brothers, Charles M. Jr., 
Henry C., Frederick S. and McDane D. Smith and his paternal grandparents, J.V. and 
Ella N. Smith.  Funeral services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 
610-12 East Freemason Street, this afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. O.D. 
Poythress, pastor of South Norfolk Christian Church, officiating.  Interment will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
