Mt. Gilead Baptist Church was the scene of funeral rites for George Smith, 52,
of Johnson Road, Oakwood, who died at his home Saturday, January 18, and the
Rev. W. H. Howell officiated at the rites which were held Sunday, January 26, in
Norfolk County. His widow, Mrs. Maggie Smith,survives him. Calvary Cemetery was
the place of interment.
