Public Ledger, Monday July 30, 1888


The funeral of young Henry M. Smith, son of Mr. Thomas P. Smith, whose death 
occurred Saturday afternoon, took place yesterday afternoon from the 
residence, No. 493 Church Street, and was attended by a number of friends and 
acquaintances. The service was conducted by Rev. J.S. Hunter, pastor of the 
Queen Street M.W. Church, and the tremains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery. 
The following gentlemen, intimate friends of the deceased, were the 
pallbearers: Howard Cooper, Charles Knight, Albert Holmes, William Twiford, 
William Cooper and William Hargrove.
