Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Smith were held June 22 from Shiloh Baptist
Church with the pastor, the Rev. W. L. Hamilton officiating. Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery with the Riddick Funeral Service in charge.

Mrs. Smith died June 19 at her residence, 3038 Schooley avenue after a very long
illness. She was 55 years of age.

She is survived by her husband, Prosie Smith; four sisters, Mrs. Lena Braxton,
Mrs. Virginia Boddie, Miss Dorothy Harris, and Mrs. Louise Hudson; one brother,
Johnnie Harris.
