The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 8, 1947


William James Smith, 75, son of the late William J. and Leah Dennis Smith, a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at a local hospital yesterday at 
2:30 p.m. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and resided at 1552 Chela 
Avenue, Ocean View.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. A.C. Omohundro; a brother, John E. Smith, both 
of Norfolk, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral home 
Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Elmwood.
