Norfolk Journal and Guide,Nov 10,1962
Willie Smith, 52, of 2209 Courtney avenue, a retired Norfolk and Western Railway 
employee and a deacon of St. Mark Community Baptist Church, received final rites 
at the Church Wednesday. He died Nov. 3 in a Norfolk hospital.

The Rev. Zack Pippins officiated at the service. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. 
Hale Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith’s survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helena Bradwell of Norfolk; two 
brothers, Eddie Smith of Philadelphia and Henry Smith of Norfolk; and two 
grandchildren.
