Norfolk - Mrs. Corine Smith of 2217 Courtney Ave., the widow of Robert Smith and 
a native of Smithfield, died Oct. 20 in her home.

She was a retired domestic employe and a member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Odell Moody of Jacksonville, FL, Mrs. 
Annie White of Norfolk, Mrs. Shirley Johnson of New Brunswick NJ and Mrs. 
Dorothy Blue of San Diego CA; six sisters, Mrs. Girlie Williams of Newport News, 
Mrs. Essie Mae Riddick of Suffolk, Mrs. Ethel Walker, and Mrs. Helen Johnson of 
Philadelphia, and Mrs. Ruth Thelma of Boston, five brothers, Ralph Newby and 
Arcelious Newby of Smithfield; 10 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Graves Funeral Home had charge.

(Note: Only two of the five brothers named in the obituary)
