Norfolk Journal and Guide,May 21,1938
Mrs. Clara Carrington Smith, wife of A. D. Smith, died at her residence on Anne 
Street, Sunday, May 8, after an illness of two months. The funeral was held at the 
Holy Temple Church on Chapel Street, Thursday, May 12, with the Rev. William 
Clement officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. She is survived by her 
husband, and a brother, Albert Carrington. Kings Funeral Home had charge.
