Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, April 17, 1999 
Mabel G.M. Smith of the 3000 block of Dogan St. died April 13, 1999, at a local
hospital.

Born in Norfolk, she was a laborer for Mid-Atlantic and a member of New Calvary
Baptist Church. She was the widow of Robert L. Smith.

Survivors include her daughter, Earldine Brown; her son, Colbert Smith; a
brother, James P. Morgan; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev.
G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake will be held from 4
to 5 p.m. Sunday at Graves Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at
9:30 a.m.
