Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, May 12, 1992 
Booker T. Smith Jr. of the 700 block of A Ave., died May 9, 1992, in a nursing
home.

Mr. Smith was born in Southampton County.

Survivors include his mother, Sadie D. Barber of Drewryville; his father, Booker
T. Smith Sr. of Norfolk; four sisters, Ethel Ferguson of Culpeper, Jacqueline
Butts of Emporia, Connie Jones of East Hampton, N.Y., and Brenda Roberts of
Emporia; and two brothers, Garland Smith of Washington, D.C., and Larry Smith of
East Hampton.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home by the
Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Family and friends will
assemble at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
