Smithson, died at the residence of his great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pierce, 611 Liberty street, yesterday afternoon at 1:50 o'clock after an illness of three months. His father died at Colorado Springs, Colo., Saturday afternoon. On the arrival of the father's body, the funeral of the son and father will take place at the same time and their bodies will be interred together. ************** SMITHSON - At the family residence, the great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pierce, 611 Liberty street, Thursday afternoon, January 16, 1913, at 1:50 o'clock, HOLLICE ORRMOND SMITHSON, son of Mrs. Elnora Roberts Smithson and the late Miles G. Smithson aged 9 months, 8 days. Funeral at above residence on arrival of remains of father from Colorado Springs, Col. ************************************************************************* The funerals of Miles G. Smithson and his son, Hollice Orrmond Smithson, will take place at the residence of the grandparents of the child's mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Pierce, 611 Liberty street, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The bodies will be interred in the same grave in Magnolia Cemetery. Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 18, 1913 Double Funeral The funerals of Miles G. Smithson and son, H. Orrman Smithson, husband and son of Mrs. Elnora Robert Smithson, took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pierce, 611 Liberty street, yesterday afternoon and were largely attended. Rev. W.R. Flannigan, the new pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, conducted the service and burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. The body of the little son was tucked in the arms of his dead father, and they were buried together in one casket. The pallbearers were Henry White, W.H. Gregory, G.A. Harding, J.E. Ricketts, L. Nelson, Geo. R. Brickey, J.A. King and L.W. Morgan.
