Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 16, 1912  

Norman P., son of Mrs. Ida L. and the late R.P. Smithwick, died at the home of his 
aunt, Miss Mac Crowder, 110 Granville Avenue, at an early hour Sunday morning, 
aged four years. The funeral will be  held at the residence at 11 o'clock this 
morning and will be conducted by Rev. C.A. Jenkens of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist 
Church. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
