Virginian Pilot, Monday, Sept 7,1936
Miss Alice Cardwell Smyth, aged 84, died at a local hospital last night at 10
o’clock.  She is survived by a sister, Miss Caroline Ward Smyth, of Norfolk, and
a brother, George McB. Smyth, of Glendale, OH.  Miss Smyth formerly was a
resident of New York city and for the past eight years had resided with her
niece, Mrs. E. O. Steiner, in Ingleside.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery
